India Gate was formerly known as All India war Memorial<\/strong> and is also recognized as Delhi Memorial. Built out of sandstone, the best tourist destination in Delhi has been dedicated to the soldiers who died in the world war during 1914 and 1919. The exact location of the India gate is somewhere at the eastern end of the Rajpath. The British monument is still a very prominent tourist destination for many people. Earlier, India Gate used to be a grave for martyrs who sacrificed their lives in World War I. Later on, it was named as All India War Memorial under the Duke of Connaught.
